TEAMMATES of Grand Island

We are a school-based mentoring program who helps students reach their full potential through weekly meetings with a safe, caring adult.  TeamMates also offers student enrichment activities including an annual college visit, career cruise, and senior celebration.  All mentors are screened through two background checks, three references, a  two hour training with on going training and support.  Students are nominated and chose to participate with an orientation and ongoing support.  THere are always more students wanting mentors than adults wanting to be mentors.
