New to Scoops? No Problem! The manager on site will train you with all you need to know about Scoops Ice Cream Parlor.

Ice Cream Parlor tasks include scooping ice cream, running cash register, stocking and running ice cream. Great customer service skills are greatly appreciated! You must be able to perform all tasks.

Please wear closed toe shoes like tennis shoes and please wear a baseball cap. If you have long hair, please tie it back and wear a baseball cap.

Community Partners: If you’re volunteering on behalf of one of the 20 Community Partners, please enter the agency name in the notes box after selecting your shift, and before clicking “Submit Opportunity.”

Sign-Up: This system allows you to sign up individually or as a team, whatever options works best for you. If you are doing a team sign-up, you will need email addresses for all individuals.

Physical Requirements: This is a fast-paced, physically active role. You’ll be standing on concrete and working quickly for 2.5 to 3 hours without a break.

What to Wear: Closed-toe shoes (tennis shoes recommended) and a baseball cap.

Online training is recommended and a link will be emailed to you.

Tasks include scooping ice cream, operating the cash register, restocking supplies, and general customer service. All volunteers are expected to perform a variety of tasks with a positive attitude!

For all individual sign-ups, State Fair entry tickets can be picked up at Heartland United Way (1441 N. Webb Road) after August 17th.

The Heartland United Way needs help capturing the action of Day of Action.
Bring your own camera or phone and catch our volunteers making a difference.
We'll give you a schedule of events and you can go to as many as you want. Just make sure your subjects sign a waiver, which will be provided by us.
