Volunteer: Adult MentorsThere is an ongoing need for adult mentors as many students are nominated for TeamMates. Adult mentors apply online at www.teammates.org. Following the approved application and backgrounds checks, mentors attend a 2 hour training and then are matched with a middle school student at the school of their choice and start weekly meetings. Being a mentor is an exceptional way to connect with a young person and form a strong relationship built over time. Watching a 12 year old grow into an adult that you get to connect to as a friend (not parent) is life changing, for both the mentor and mentee.
