

Who We Are
Boys Town is celebrating it's 100th anniversary in 2017 and was founded right here in Nebraska. Our mission is, "Changing the way America cares for children, families and communities by providing and promoting an Integrated Continuum of Care® that instills Boys Town values to strengthen body, mind and spirit." Boys Town's programs and services now touch millions of lives across the world every year. Boys Town has been in Grand Island since 1989 and now serves around 1,000 individuals every year right here in our community.
What We Do
Boys Town helps save children, heal families, and strengthen communities. In our Central Nebraska location we:
- provide emergency shelter for youth ages 10-18
- recruit, train, and support foster homes
- offer evidenced informed in-home family services
- provide a specialized school for K-12 students who experience behavioral problems
- provide counseling and assessments through our Behavioral Health Clinic
- and offer evidence based Common Sense Parenting classes
