Volunteer Tutors

When you volunteer with the LCofGI as a tutor for our One-on-One Tutoring program, our staff sets you up for success. From our resources, to our training process, to our general support, we have everything you need to empower students through literacy; no teaching experience necessary. All you have to do is set aside one hour each week AND have a passion for helping others! We'll do the rest! We have the teaching materials, training, and support you need to be a successful tutor. Then, once you get matched with a student based on your mutual availability, you can begin meeting once a week for just one hour to encourage your student to meet their personal goals. Here at the Literacy Council, we meet our students and volunteers where they are.
